At alpineSTOCK you can purchase media licenses for the use of photos. A media license entitles you to use a photo for certain purposes. These purposes depend on the type of license. alpineSTOCK offers different types of licenses.
With the purchase of a license, the respective photo can be downloaded, in most cases instantly.
At alpineSTOCK, all photos are available in original size in JPG format with a few exceptions. In addition, selected photos are also offered in smaller sizes in JPG format. Some photos are available in RAW format as well.
Photos that can be purchased via alpineSTOCK only are marked as "exclusive". These photos are not offered in any other stock photo agency. However, it is not an exclusive licensing.
Media with standard license are based on a fixed price model and can be used in many ways. However, they may not be passed on to third parties, resold or sublicensed.

For these uses of royalty-free media, an extended license is required.
An extended license for royalty-free media is required for any use based on the media itself. This applies to any product that first becomes a product because of the media used, such as the production of goods like calendars, photo books, posters, photo printed t-shirts, photo printed mugs, etc.
Also, media purchased under an extended license may not be distributed, resold, or sublicensed to third parties.

Rights Managed photos can be used for individual purposes. The intended use must be made clear to alpineSTOCK prior to purchase.
The price of a Rights Managed license depends on the specific use of the medium. Important factors are:
private or commercial use
use in online media or print media
editorial use or advertising
The price for rights-managed use depends on the specifications of the respective content creator. In principle, however, it is based on the recommendations of the SAB, the Swiss Association of Image Agencies and Archives. The catalog of price recommendations can be ordered at www.sab- photo.ch.
A copyright notice is required for any editorial use. Whenever the licensed medium is used in context of information or reporting, a clearly visible copyright notice is required. The requirement for a copyright notice when using licensed media depends on the specific agreement.

Payment of the license purchase is done via external payment providers (e.g. PayPal.com). Upon successful payment, the licensed photo can be downloaded and used immediately.
